💭 My Thoughts: When I picked up this book, I wasn't expecting to become obsessed with it! Vikings and Norse mythology are new to me, but the author did a great job of breaking it down so that you're not overwhelmed. The pace of the book was solid—never slow, but also not rushing. I loved Freya and her combative nature. Her banter with Bjorn had me smirking alongside them. Their relationship development is a great example of a slow burn. I deducted half a star because I guessed all of the twists at the end, though I still really enjoyed them! I'm eagerly awaiting the announcement of the next book and am so excited for this series!
