Awesome Wanton Mee at RIOT

@RIOT.sgp is the brainchild of the folks behind the beloved Wanton Seng's Noodle Bar. This new venture aims to combine the best of Southeast and East Asian ingredients, resulting in a delightful fusion of flavors.

The vibe is laid-back and inviting, with a dimly-lit interior that exudes a funky charm. The menu features a variety of smaller plates, perfect for sharing, as well as larger communal dishes.

We tried all the creative and yummy creations below:

🍜 Aburi Char Siew Noodles, their must try signature dish with flamed charred Pork Belly, wontons and pork skin

🍔 Grilled Hamburg Steak is a must try. A very tender and juicy hamburger on a tangy Thai inspired larb sauce with kaffir lime and lemongrass and salad. Small portion. (Top pick)

🍽️ Karaage, a crispy & very flavorful local twist of Japanese fried chicken 🍗, awesome flavors of turmeric, ginger straits spice buttermilk (top pick)

🍽️ Stir-fried XO seafood rice is savoury and flavorful with white clams, prawns, fried squid & prawn fat

🦑 Fried squid with house spiced salt

🍅 Chilled Tomato Salad with Basil vinaigrette, cucumber and shallots

Prices are surprisingly affordable, with smaller plates & larger plates ranging from $6-$24.

Benson, the owner came to speak to us came across to me as a genuine person and very seasoned creative chefs. He related to me on the unique ingredients he used like crab XO sauce equivalent for the seafood fried rice. Another Ben behind the cocktail bar made a dynamic duo to this hip energetic gastrobar.
