What food is it? So this is 5 of the food they need to avoid as part of the disease management.

1. SUGARY DRINKS 🥤🧋🧃

Beverages like teh o ais and fruit drinks are high in sugar and can cause ‼️rapid spikes in blood glucose levels‼️. The high glycemic index of these drinks means they are absorbed quickly into the bloodstream, making it difficult for insulin to effectively regulate blood sugar.

2. REFINED GRAINS 🍞🍚🍲🥪🥯

Foods made from refined and processed grains like white rice 🍚and white bread🍞 lack fiber (fiber help slow digestion and absorption of carbohydrates). This results in rapid spikes📈 and subsequent drops📉 in blood sugar levels, making it challenging for diabetics to maintain stable glucose levels.

3. BREAKFAST CEREALS 🥞

Many breakfast cereals are 💢high in sugar💢 and low in fiber. Even those marketed as 'healthy' can contain lots of hidden sugars. Due to hogh in sugar, these cereals can cause quick and significant rises in blood sugar levels.

4. KUIH MUIH AND CONFECTIONERY 🥐🥯🍩🎂

These sweet treats are not only high in sugar but often contain ❌large amounts of saturated fats❌. The high sugar content contributes to rapid spikes in blood glucose, while saturated fats are associated with insulin resistance(body's cells do not respond well to insulin).

5. FAST FOOD🍟🍕🍔🌭

Fast foods are often rich in saturated and trans fats, salt, and have a high calorie. These factors can contribute to obesity and insulin resistance, both of which are risk factors for worsening diabetes symptoms.

Diabetes is considered one of ‘penyakit tiga serangkai’. Management of the disease is important to avoid being the risk factors for another comorbidities.
