Our 3D2N adventure started with an exhilarating jeep ride along the infamous Fairy Meadow Road, known for its rugged terrain and stunning views. The 1 hour ride was both thrilling and nerve-wracking, with the narrow paths and steep cliffs keeping my heart racing. If you're a fan of roller coasters, you'll surely enjoy this 🏎️ Just be sure to hold on tight and keep your nose/mouth covered as it can get quite dusty 💨

We then started an afternoon hike to our guesthouse at Fairy Meadows, a picturesque destination at an altitude of about 3,300m above sea level. Our first evening view of Nanga Parbat, the 9th tallest mountain in the world was obscured by clouds, adding a mysterious touch to the backdrop ☁️

The next morning, we set off early for the trek to Nanga Parbat Basecamp (altitude 4,000m), aka the "Killer Mountain." The climb was challenging 😮‍💨 but every step and ascend revealed more of the breathtaking beauty of the landscape. Occasionally we had additional views of the goats, horses and dogs. We rested at Beyal basecamp (altitude 3,550m) as well as the Pakistani viewing point and German viewpoint reflecting on the mountaineers who once stood in that very spot. The mighty Nanga Parbat slowly loomed ahead, its snow-capped peak piercing the sky. Soaking in the stunning surroundings that offered a panoramic view of the majestic mountain range with its endless glaciers.

We soon made our way back down to our guesthouse, and were greeted by the most perfect view at the reflection lake this evening 🏞️

I WAS IN AWE. The lake was so still, it mirrored the towering peaks behind it and as we watched the sun set, we laughed about our day’s adventure 🌅

Our night was capped off once again with a warm dinner, a traditional bonfire dance under the stars together with a cup of chai 🔥The perfect end to a day full of adventure✨

The final day began with a peaceful morning, watching the first rays of sunlight kiss the mountain tops and breakfast. Then it was time to climb down. The descent was much manageable than the first’s day climb, but no less beautiful 😍

If you’re looking for an adventure that combines thrill, beauty, and a touch of the extraordinary, I highly recommend Fairy Meadows and Nanga Parbat Basecamp trek as a must-do.

ps we were completely off the grid these 2 nights with no mobile connection or signal, it was truly a good break from civilization.

Stay tune for more adventures in Pakistan ~
