READ THIS if you look awkward wearing jewellery

I've been playing around with accessories for a few years and i've always avoided it because it made me look so awkward for some reason and i've finally figured out why!

1. Understand your undertones

I cannot stress this enough, not everyone looks good in gold jewellery. The easiest way to find out what your undertone is is by looking at your wrists; cool undertones tend to have blue/purpleish veins while warm undertones have green veins, if you have both you're a neutral undertone and you can wear either silver or gold! I have both warm and cool undertones but i lean more towards cool as silver really makes me pop. understanding this is so useful for not only jewellery but also makeup, hair and clothes!

2. Experiment with different styles

I categorise facial features into low and high contrast (facial definition), usually people with lower contrast features look better in dainty, simple pieces while those with higher contrast features can pull off bold statement pieces! I don't have very defined features hence why i looked so awkward wearing big chunky necklaces/earrings, wearing smaller and daintier pieces definitely brings out my best features in a subtle manner!

3. Facial shape

Definitely take time to study your face shape and this is so important when it comes to choosing the right earrings!! I've always stayed away from hoops and dangly earrings for some reason and stuck to wearing studs but after finding out that it's the most flattering for my face shape i've started wearing them more and i really love them 🤍
