GET: xiaohongshu inspired photos

if you're trying to take photos like girls you see on xiaohongshu but you end up looking like picture 2 you might want to take these life changing tips!!! I swear the 1st and 2nd picture was taken minutes apart on the same day and this is proof of how these tips work with even the most inexperienced photographers (my boyfriend and friends 🥲) and they're really simple and easy!

1st Tip:

ALWAYS tap on the subjects face to "focus" the flash before taking the photo

note that this tip goes in tandem with tip no.2 so make sure to read that too! this is especially important because you don't want the camera to be unfocused and this causes overexposure in most cases like what you see in the 2nd pic. you want to focus the flash on the subject especially when you're further away.

2nd Tip:

Apply grid lines and use the 1.5x zoom

To evenly disperse the flash enough to be visible in the photo but not overexposed you should stand a little further away and zoom in to about 1.3-1.6x. You'll know that you have the right distance when you do this and your subject fits within 2/3 of the frame (as pictured) proportions are everything!!

3rd Tip:

Apply live photos so you can find the frame you like most! sometimes you might even find pictures that unintentionally came out really well
