📚Why I picked up this book

It’s been <1 year since I’ve started on my first full time job and I’ve been wondering about what’s my ‘ideal job’. After being criticised at my mid year appraisal, I was really quite down and this title intrigued me.

📖 Why I continued reading

Like the main character, I marvelled at the idea of an ‘easy job’, something not out of the norm, nothing too dramatic that carried not a lot of responsibility.

It was fascinating to see mc grow into the job, learning the ropes and picking things up as time went by, even though it was a temporary role. It’s almost consoling to me that ‘hmm maybe really with time, one could get better at this’ and that it’s not just a ‘skill’ thing. For each job that she did, there was something unexpectedly challenging that popped up, and nothing was truly smooth sailing. JUST LIKE LIFE. and WORK 😅😬

For anyone working, wondering whether there’s something better out there for them 🙌🏻 Especially to my fellow first job graduates, we are in the same boat 🚤
