Best café with sandos to work/ study at

I might have found the best café to work from, complete with a cosy ambience, free Wifi, power plugs, yummy food, and most importantly, a strong cuppa.

Located just a stone’s throw away from Chinatown MRT, Grids coffee seems to be many fellow café patrons’ favourite place to work from if you are tired of working from home. With just a min spend of $30 per pax, you get to stay and work there throughout the day.

Food wise, it’s actually really good for a minimalist café, big shout out to their mochi waffles – we tried both their Forest Berry Mochi Waffle ($16) and Nutella Mochi Waffle ($16) and were blown away. What we really liked about the waffles was that the mochi-ness was infused throughout the waffle, so you get that good in between of that slight waffle crunch and the chewiness expected of mochi.

Their chazukes and sandos were also really tasty, we tried the Pigasso ($16) – a pork loin sandwiched between two slices of Japanese milk bread dressed with greens; and Duck Chazuke ($16) – Smoked duck slices atop brown rice, which came with a small pot of dashi broth for you to douse the rice with, and you will end up with a hearty rice meal.
