August period products // honest thoughts

I’m sure we all have heard the news by now about lead, arsenic, and other metals being found in many popular tampon brands. Like many others I became super frustrated with this news, and immediately started looking for alternative products.

Then I found August!

When I first saw their packaging at Target I immediately had to look into the brand, and that’s when I found all the amazing things they do/stand for. Sustainability and accessibility are huge aspects of their brand. They’re part of 1% for the planet, and also are completely honest about how their products are made. I mean how can you not love that??

They also offer the chance to try their period products for free, you can just walk into target, buy a box and they will reimburse you for your purchase.

Another awesome thing august does is fight back against luxury tax on period products. So if you live in a state that taxes your products they will pay you back whatever amount of taxes you paid on their product.

To me it really shows that August stands for the same values I do, and they believe in their products.

After trying them I don’t think I’ll ever switch back! Plus they offer subscriptions where you can order exactly what you need on whatever time frame you want!
