Posing Tips and tricks I learned from modeling

Learn how to pose like a pro with a couple easy tips!

These are some of the quick tricks I learned from photographers I’ve worked with in the past. I find them super helpful when I’m trying to make a photo look more interesting, and artistic.

1) Move around. Adding movement can also add some visual interest and you can get some great action shots. Sometimes it can be simple like playing with your hair or doing a fake walk back and forth to get the shots. Again it breaks you out of just standing still in a photo.

2) Make angles. What does that mean? Okay let me give you an example. If you bent your arm in a photo it kind of resembles a triangle. So that’s what we’re going for. But there’s so many ways to make these angles, I’ll add a few visuals above so you can see what I mean. Why do we need angles in our photos? Well it just adds some visual interest, it also allows your body to take up more space instead of just standing blank in one spot.

3) You don’t have to look at the camera. Sometimes the best shots are the off guard photos or the ones where you’re looking off in the distance. Don’t be afraid to ignore the camera and look around.
