How should I go about getting an ADD/ADHD diagnosis? My mom and I are both positive I have it, as I fit the criteria and it runs in my family. I just don't know what to do about getting diagnosed.

I go to a therapist and was wondering if there are specific things I should bring to her, or if I should go to a specialist? Like, for those who have been diagnosed, what helped you get the diagnosis and are there specific things I should bring up?
