Sunday August 11th, 2024

Dear “Diary,”

Today was a busy day. The hubby and I went to to the nursing home to visit my uncle and help my mom with my uncle just in case something happens. After a while of staying with him and helping him with whatever he needed, my sister and her boyfriend came to take on the role and visit and help our uncle while me, my hubs, and my mom went over to my uncles apartment to help clean it up for an eventual move. Like I said, it truly was a busy day.

As for later, we came back home from my uncles apartment and saw that our new room is close to almost done. I decided to make more Dubai chocolate bars, but instead of bars, they’re more like valentine’s day chocolates. 😅 This time the chocolate was more prominent than the kataifi filling, but i’m still working on the chocolate to filling ratio. They don’t really sell the Dubai chocolate bars here where I’m from, so it’s mostly an out of town trip for us if we really want to get them. We are so glad to have found a place in San Antonio that sells them! Baklovah Bakery & Sweets is the place and they also sell more delicious treats! Another fave would have to be their fruit tarts! I am in LOVE with those tarts!

Anyways, after being home for a while, we ate dinner and are now just about to get ready for bed. I’d say a Sunday well spent. ☺️
