✨First Week Back at School✨

This first week back at school is when we have faculty meetings and prepare the classrooms for students. We had a large “all faculty & staff” meeting followed by smaller department meetings. My favorite tradition is that we get a small Chantilly cake to share at our science department meeting in honor of the birthdays that month.

Something that’s been fun to watch is the progression of our accidental pumpkin patch. Our chemistry class did a lab with about 50 pumpkins and the remains were dumped over the railing onto the ground surrounding our temporary trailers. What started as a small vine is now a huge patch in the making. I hope we’ll have some pumpkins come October.

Next week will be more meetings before the first day on the 21st. Happy back to school season, everyone!
