If you’ve been following my page, you know I talk a lot about hitting protein goals to maximize gains. Meeting your daily protein goal is necessary to gain muscle and crush your goals in the gym! For me personally, I’m always looking for ways to incorporate more protein that are relatively inexpensive and easy. Meet protein scrambled eggs!
I actually came across this idea on my tiktok and didn’t see a recipe for it so thought I’d figure something out in my kitchen and share it. With only 3 large eggs and half a cup of cottage cheese you can add T H I R T Y T W O GRAMS of protein to your breakfast!!! Let’s compare that to 3 large eggs alone which is only 18 grams. That’s almost DOUBLE the amount of protein 🤯 Let’s get into the recipe:
Items Needed:
🥚Small Curd Low Fat Cottage Cheese
🥚3 Large Eggs
🥚Seasonings of your choice (I chose black pepper and Himalayan pink salt)
🥚Butter
🥚Blender
🥚Frying Pan
🥚Utensil to scramble eggs
Directions:
Step 1. Crack 3 eggs into a bowl
Step 2. Season eggs with preferred seasonings
Step 3. Pour seasoned eggs into blender cup
Step 4. Add 1/4 cup low fat cottage cheese to eggs
Step 5. Secure top of blender cup
Step 6. Blend cottage cheese and egg mixture til fully combined
Step 7. Pour mixture into pre-heated, buttered frying pan
Step 8. Scramble eggs to preferred liking
Step 9. There may be excess moisture from scrambling the eggs, feel free to strain eggs to discard
It’s that easy! These eggs have a great taste with the only main difference being they’re slightly more dense than normal scrambled eggs. I think this recipe would be great to use for egg patties in breakfast sandwiches!
