1. Swallowing Foreign Objects, Emergency vomiting with concentrated salt water!

If you notice your cat has swallowed something it shouldn’t or is foaming at the mouth, give it hydrogen peroxide (1 ml per kg) to induce vomiting. Regardless of whether it vomits, take it to the vet right away.

2. Heatstroke, Rehydrate and cool down!

Move your cat to an air-conditioned room immediately. Avoid direct AC draft, place ice packs wrapped in towels around it, and use wet towels or alcohol wipes to cool its body, especially the paw pads. Ensure it drinks enough water and get it to the vet quickly.

3. Electric Shock, Turn off the power, perform CPR

Ensure your safety first, then quickly turn off the power. Check if your cat has a heartbeat. If not, start CPR immediately and rush it to the nearest vet.

4. Bleeding, Handle based on the wound's severity!

4.1 Minor Bleeding

Check for foreign objects in the wound. If there are any, rinse with saline or clean water. Shaving the area around the wound can help. Apply topical medication after cleaning.

4.2 Major Bleeding

Apply pressure with a clean gauze for at least 10 minutes. If the wound is on a limb, use a cloth to tie a knot closer to the heart and twist it with a stick to tighten, loosening every 10-15 minutes. Rush to the vet immediately.

5. Seizures, Protect the cat from self-injury!

During a seizure, your cat might thrash around and hurt itself. Don’t hold down its limbs. Instead, wrap it in a blanket or towel and place it in an open area until the seizure stops. Then, get it to the vet immediately.

6. Drowning, Expel water and ensure breathing!

If your cat is conscious, keep its airway clear and dry it off to keep it warm. If it’s unconscious, hold it by the hind legs with its head down and gently tap its back to expel the water. Then, get to the nearest vet.
