SKINCARE MUST-HAVES! 🤨💯

I loveeeee skincare! 🫶🏼 I started falling down this skincare rabbit hole early 2022 when my skin became horrible, and throughout the entire year of testing and trying new products, I think I’ve finally learnt (more or less) what works for my skin, and what doesn’t! 🥰

I’ve accumulated a collection of empties that I love (some not so much), and here’s what I feel about them! 👇🏼

𝑪𝒐𝒔𝒓𝒙 𝑨𝒅𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒅 𝑺𝒏𝒂𝒊𝒍 𝟵𝟲 𝑴𝒖𝒄𝒊𝒏 𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝑬𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆

My FAV skincare item ever. I love this so so much and this is my 3rd empty, and I'll re-purchase this for as long as I live!!! ❤️

🐚 What it does:

Heals inflammation, fades dark spots and improves skin texture over time. I find that it also strengthens my skin barrier so much, and improves the elasticity of it. 🤭

🍄 How I use it:

As of now, I only use it during my night-time routine, on damp skin. It’s the second step of my routine, after the Hada Labo Premium Gokujyun Hydrating Lotion (which I love too - almost finishing my first bottle). 😛

🧴 Will I repurchase:

Yes, BUT I've recently purchased the Cosrx Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence which I'm so excited to try out! I’ve been looking to properly incorporate niacinamide into my routine without increasing the number of skincare steps so hopefully the dual essence will be a new holy grail of mine! 😋

𝑫𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏

My holy grail for getting rid of all my acne. This is my second tube, and I use it in place of any other retinols! ✨

🐚 What it does:

Treats acne from its core, and prevents future acne from happening! 💪🏼 All in all, it restores skin’s natural texture that I’m super grateful for. 🥹

🍄 How I use it:

Only during my night-time routine, after all serums/essences and before moisturiser. I used to do the sandwich method but after a while I realised my skin’s pretty resilient so I can get away without doing it anymore! 🙂

🧴 Will I repurchase:

Yes yes YES... 😭🫶🏼 but get it from the polyclinic though! If I’m not wrong it’s about $40+ from pharmacies like Guardian or Watsons, but it’s almost half the price if you get it prescribed from the polyclinic. Otherwise, I heard you can also get it from Malaysia for cheaper too.

𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒐𝒏 𝑮𝒍𝒐𝒘 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒖𝒎 & 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒖𝒎

Full disclosure, I only got this because I loved the packaging. 😅 The ingredients seemed pretty decent too, and they weren’t too pricey.

🐚 What it does:

✧ Glow Serum (Propolis + Niacinamide)

Minimises large pores and soothes inflamed skin - I feel like it also made my skin slightly glowier after consistent use! ✨

✧ Revive Serum (Ginseng + Snail Mucin)

Repairs damaged skin, improves wrinkles and boosts elasticity. I didn’t see a need for this because I still much preferred my Cosrx snail mucin!

🍄 How I use it:

I usually alternate between both during my night-time routine, after all my toners/essences. ☺️ I used to use the Glow Serum in the morning but I found it too oily for me as an oily skin girlie. 🤨

🧴 Will I repurchase:

As of now, no - I find that the other alternatives I’m using serve the same function and I much prefer the others! ☺️ I’m also trying to downside my routine and skincare collection as much as possible so I currently don’t see a need for these.

𝑰𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒌 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒆𝒍 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎

I loved this for calming my skin down during the day-time! ☀️ Super gel-like consistency that absorbs and drys down instantaneously. 😍 If you’re struggling to find a day-time moisturiser this is a MUST HAVE.

🐚 What it does:

Provides calming relief to skin especially when it’s a little more sensitive, reduces redness greatly as well. ❤️ The gel-like consistency is also perfect for oily skin.

🍄 How I use it:

During my day-time routine, after all serums/essences and before sunscreen. It’s vv perfect for day time and it was truly such a great find amidst all the heavier moisturisers. 🤭

🧴 Will I repurchase:

Not for now! I used it in the past because I was looking for an oil-free moisturiser, but now my skin condition has gotten a little dryer so I can get away with using thicker moisturisers in the day-time. 😚

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒌𝒆𝒚 𝑳𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑨𝒄𝒊𝒅 𝑵𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝑻𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕

I bought this at the crux of my acne hyperpigmentation when I was desperate to clear the scars - and it didn't really do much for me unfortunately. 😞

🐚 What it does:

Targets hyperpigmentation and dark spots, while simultaneously brightening skin complexion. 💫

🍄 How I use it:

During my night-time routine, after all serums/essences and before moisturiser. Not sure whether it’s meant to be as a spot treatment or a whole-face kinda thing … so I alternate between both LMAO. 😅

🧴 Will I repurchase:

Unfortunately no ... I didn't see extremely good results from this, and it stung my skin a little when my skin barrier was compromised. 🙁

𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒐𝒏 𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒇 𝑺𝒖𝒏 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒔𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏

I don't think this needs any introduction. 100% my go-to FOR LIFE. 💯 I know a lot of people rant about it being overhyped but I genuinely love it. It’s on par with all the other competitors for me, like the Roundlab Birch Juice Moisturising Sunscreen - I think they both have their own advantages. 💗 For me, I like the Roundlab one because it doesn’t sting my skin (when my skin barrier is compromised), but I prefer the BOJ one as it feels lighter on my skin compared to the Roundlab one. 🫶🏼

🐚 What it does:

The perfect light-weight sunscreen that nourishes the skin while protecting it!! 100% NOT heavy at all even for oily skin girlies. 🤤 It’s so light even after layering and leaves minimal to zero white cast. 😚

🍄 How I use it:

Daily, during day-time. However, I steer clear of it when I feel like my skin’s a little more sensitive, or when my skin barrier is compromised as it tends to sting my skin then (not sure why … I’m not sure if it’s because of the niacinamide in the formulation?).

🧴 Will I repurchase:

YES! this is my 3rd empty and I will definitely be repurchasing again and again. 😍❤️‍🔥

𝑰𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒚𝒐𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝑨𝒕𝒐 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎

My favourite moisturiser EVER, and it's so cost-efficient too?!?! 🤯 It’s so so nourishing and soothing, especially with the amount of ceramide there is. It repairs my skin barrier so quick and if I could I would just bathe and soak myself in it. 😍❤️❤️‍🔥

🐚 What it does:

Provides deep hydration and soothing effects and can be used for face and body! ✨ I used it as a body moisturiser as well while I was in Korea/Japan during winter, and it worked wonders. ❄️ It’s also great for sensitive skin imo!

🍄 How I use it:

At the end of my night-time skincare routine, or sometimes during the day-time, before sunscreen, when my skin is feeling a little dry. 🤍

🧴 Will I repurchase:

YES! I emptied this bottle (200ml) and loved it so much I bought the 500ml tub version LMAO. 🫢
