Why you should visit Semporna, Sabah 🌊

I recently came back from my trip to Semporna and it was my 7th trip. Yes, 7th!

People would asked me why I keep coming back to Semporna. Now here are the reasons.

The crystal clear blue water is always so pretty and keep calling for you again. The sunset and the sunrise are gorgeous. Sunrise is usually at 5.30am, so most of the time I will make up and see it from the balcony. Sometimes our room just facing the sunrise and we just open the door. Since all the time I stay at water bungalows, we got all the privacy.

Don’t forget to order lobster or other seafood since the price here is so cheap. Just ask what you want, they shall provide for you.

Now the most important part, where to stay? Here are my top recommendations.

1. Maglami-lami Water Bungalow - in-front BumBum Island

2. Egang-egang Water Bungalow - in-front BumBum Island

3. Sipadan Kapalai Dive Resort - a water bungalow too.

4. Mataking Resort - situated at Mataking Island. Kind of private island.

All the price quotes by them usually include boat transfer from Semporna Jetty, 4 time meals and island hopping for Maglami & Egang. They can arrange transport from Tawau airport to Semporna Jetty too.

Island Hopping usually grouped into their location and you need 3 full days to cover all the available islands.
