Slow-cooked to perfection for 8 hours, I wasn’t surprised at how tender Namu Bulgogi’s signature Oxtail was 🤤 Not only does it have a perfect fat:meat ratio, it’s also very savoury! It came with a stew on the side but we liked it better without because it was a little too oily to our liking 🫢

VERY umami-packed and also had a tinge of sweetness from—I assume—the seafood 😋 I liked how there was a good balance of seafood and kimchi taste compared to the ones I’ve had at other places :P though it got a little salty towards the end, i still enjoyed the stew vvv much (one of our favs actually) 💛

This comes with two variations of grilled chicken, original and spicy gochujang! We enjoyed the original chicken more than its counterpart because we felt that it went better with the cheese hehe but it’s really just personal preference hehe 🤪 the cheese goated fr…SO SWEET & CREAMY AAAAAA 😆

From the words of my friends—since I’m not the biggest fan of baby octopuses—the baby octopus was very tender, smoky & spicy but sauce was also a little saltier than expected HAHAHA

PHENOMENAL!!! Very crispy yet fluffy and I really loved the chives and squid in the pancake 🤩 a favourite among all of us, 10/10 must order 🫶🏻

Some other dishes were had were the 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗢𝗮𝗸𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲-𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻 & 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱 ($𝟭𝟵.𝟵𝟬), 𝗧𝘁𝗲𝗼𝗸𝗯𝗼𝗸𝗸𝗶 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶 ($𝟭𝟮.𝟵𝟬) and the 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗴𝗴 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗷𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗺 which are great complements to the dishes mentioned above but i wouldn’t order specifically on its own 😆

P.S. If you’re heading there with 2-3 pax, y’all can order the Namu Signature Set ($59) that includes their oakwood grilled specialities and an array of meats served on Korean hotplates, a FREE Chicken Sundubu Jjigae and three traditional banchan, and free-flow steamed rice 🤩🤩

It’s a small space at Tampines 1’s basement so it got a little warm when the dinner crowd came in & I wouldn’t recommend sitting next to the kitchen HAHAHA VERY WARM 😭😭 but apart from that, all was good!! worth a visit if you’re around the area but imo, i wouldn’t head down to tampines just for this hehe 🤪 OKIE thanku for reading and see you in the next post!!! ❤️
