HELLO ZESTIES omg I’m gonna #BeReal rn, my food buddy @Cheryl and I might have found a true hidden gem in Bukit Timah 😳

The steak at 𝗙𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆’s so good that it has been TWO WHOLE MONTHS since that night and I’m still thinking about it lmfao :’) my pictures and captions really won’t do their steak justice lmfao y’all gotta head down to try it yourselves 😂

But ok la, since you’re already here, READ ON TO FIND OUT MORE!!! 👀

🥩 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗙𝗔𝗧 𝗕𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗬

Tucked away in a laid back, cosy little space in Serene Centre at Bukit Timah, 𝗙𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 is a community steakhouse serving up uncommon steak cuts (YES, UNCOMMON) 😆

Helmed by Head Chef Spencer Lau (who was so so knowledgeable and friendly!!!), you can expect the beef cuts here to be really good because apparently, Fat Belly sources from networks ACROSS THE WORLD for lesser-known cuts of beef, pork, etc 😳🤯

🧀 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗪𝗘 𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗

𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙧: 𝘈𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 + 𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘭 & 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘳! 𝘏𝘦𝘩𝘦

⭐️ 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝘆𝘂 𝗠𝗦𝟴/𝟵 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿 ($𝟲𝟱)

Coming up first would be the full blood wagyu ms8/9 denver because it’s MY FAVOURITE out of all the cuts we’ve tried! 🤤 I really enjoyed how chewy, fatty and ‘buttery’ it was hehe kinda reminded me of pork belly ngl (IM SORRY STEAK LOVERS DON’T WHACK ME…) 😳 the marbling to fat ratio is excellent tho 💯💯

⭐️ 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝘆𝘂 𝗠𝗚𝗦𝟲/𝟳 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗵𝗮 ($𝟱𝟱)

If you want something juicy, slightly sweet and ‘creamy/buttery’, this beef cut is the way to go 🤤 SUPER SATISFYING HEHE!! Cheryl really liked this and she felt that it was less ‘jelak’ than the ones elsewhere 🤣 Fun fact—the Picanha is also known as a ‘rump cap’ or ‘coulotte’ 😜

⭐️ 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻-𝗙𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝘂𝘀 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗿𝗼𝗻 ($𝟮𝟴)

This is the cheapest steak on Fat Belly’s menu but it’s still pretty awesome!! It definitely pales in comparison and is leaner than the rest of the cuts we’ve tried BUT the Angus Flat Iron still had a very nice tenderness to it 😗 so if you’re looking for a more affordable option, THIS ONE’S FOR YA <3

⭐️ 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗸𝘂 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝘆𝘂 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿 ($𝟮𝟴)

If you’re not a steak person, y’all can try out the Sanchoku Wagyu Burger!! Just imagine a juicy wagyu patty paired with pickles, smoked cheddar, onion marmalade, and burger sauce 🤤🤤 They also drizzle it with bordelaise sauce so y’all can definitely expect a burger bursting with flavours 🤪🤪

⭐️ 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 & 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀

GUYS, we had four starters ok 😂 but the best ones we had would definitely be:

1) 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲 ($𝟭𝟴) — The combination of cheese and bacon makes it slightly salty but if you pair it with the sourdough toast ($6) like we did, it would be the perfect balance of flavours 😆

2) 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 ($𝟭𝟰) — First and foremost, I really hate brussels sprouts because of how bitter they usually are BUT!!!!! Fat Belly’s brussels sprouts are perfect for haters like me 😂 It had a very nice toast, juiciness, and is not tough like the ones at other places!! The usual bitterness of brussels sprouts were also balanced out by the garum caramel 🤩

3) 𝗣𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗲 ($𝟭𝟬) — This is the BEST mashed potatoes i’ve ever had because it was sooooo creamy and rich 🥹🥹 it does differ slightly from the classic mashed potatoes, but in a good way 🫢

We also had the 𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗻 ($𝟭𝟮)!

⭐️ 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀

We were hella full from the amount of food but there’s always a separate stomach for desserts right? 🤪🤪 We had the:

1) 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘂 ($𝟭𝟰) which had a nice amount of chantilly, strong coffee taste, and is pretty airy 🤤 I really really REALLY love tiramisu and this one slaps 😆 one of my top 5 places for tiramisu now HAHAH (I shall share my fav spots for tiramisu next time 👀)

2) 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗸𝗲 ($𝟭𝟰) with passionfruit coulis and red berries compote?! A COMBINATION I DIDN’T KNOW I NEEDED 🫦 Not only is this creamy and light (unlike the usual NY cheesecakes out there), it’s also both tart and sweet—very well balance of flavours!

*All prices exclude gst & service charge~

#MyTop3 would defo be the Full Blood Wagyu MS8/9 Denver, American Wagyu Picanha and Brussels Sprout 🫶

P.S. They have a 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗸𝘂 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝘆𝘂 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮 𝗽𝗮𝘅 𝗮𝘁 $𝟭𝟵𝟴++!! It comes with a starter, mains like the Sanchoku F1 Wagyu Tri Tip MS 6/7 250g and Sanchoku F1 Wagyu Flank MS 4/5 250g, as well as two sides and a dessert 🤩🤩 Very worth it imo 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

🔥 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 & 𝗩𝗜𝗕𝗘𝗦

TLDR, this was the best meal I’ve had in a while and everytime people ask me where I’d recommend for a date, I always direct them to Fat Belly LMFAO 😂 not to mention, the hospitality from the chefs and their service team (shout out to karen!!!) is impeccable 🤩I will definitely be back again for the good food!

Thanks for reading and see you guys in the next post 🤍🤍
