Things in Chinatown that just doesn’t make sense 🙄

Guess who decided to visit Chinatown for the lols last weekend and was SO BOTHERED by the things she did there that she had to create this post?? ME 😖😩

These places and things I did in Chinatown just doesn’t make sense la please just read for yourself 😵‍💫✋

🧩 𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐤 — 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐏𝐮𝐳𝐳𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐭

📌 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲: It doesn’t make sense that this puzzle hunt makes exploring Chinatown so fun 🤡

I mean…so fun for what? It makes me feel like a suaku who has never visited Chinatown leh 😪 HAHA ok for real, if you’re looking for an activity to do with your friends over the weekends, y’all can check out Ransack’s puzzle hunts!! 😙

Your mission is to help Pepper the Dinosaur recover local dishes for a dinner party by going around different corners of Chinatown 😆 Also, there are actually 4 location variations for the puzzle hunt but we chose Chinatown because it was the easiest hahahaha :D HOWEVER, if y’all are up for it, you can try out their Fort Canning, Fort Siloso or Little India puzzle hunts instead 🤪

It’s about $30/pax but Ransack was kind enough to invite us for a game last weekend (thank you JJ we had fun!!!) 🥺🤍 Go try it out okie we actually genuinely enjoyed it <333

🌶️ 东北小厨 | 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐞𝐢 𝐗𝐢𝐚𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐮

📌 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲: It doesn’t make sense that their food is so good that I feel like I’m having a meal in China LMAO 🤧

If the food here is already so good, wouldn’t the airline business to China just crumble? 😳 HAHAHA jokes.

Not to be confused with its neighbour aka 东北人家 (Dong Bei Ren Jia), this place is my FAAAAVOURITE place in Singapore for a good Chinese meal okay 😫 their 辣子鸡 (pronounced la-zi-ji) or Deep Fried Spicy Chicken is seriously the BEST.

Y’all can check out their menu here hehe they have a pretty wide variety of North-Eastern Chinese food~ a lot of tourists actually visit them and it gets quite packed so try to call them in advance to book (6220 6876) 🤪

Does it make sense for a tiny little district to have so many spots to take your ootd??? I LOVE IT SIA HAHAHA wa I actually wish I wore prettier clothes to take pictures here the other day 😢

📌 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲: It doesn’t make sense that this cafe sells nian gao waffles that goes so well with their unique ice cream flavours 🥴 They think I have a lot of friends to bring here next time is it HA HA HA 😪

THIS CAFE IS V SLAY because they sell NIAN GAO waffles and unique tea-flavoured ice cream like Matcha Butterfly Pea, Roselle Smoked Plum, Da Hong Pao Pineapple and more 😋

What made me baffled is the fact that they serve… *drumroll*…PI PA GAO LATTE 😳😳 YA WTHECK HAHAHAHA I wasn’t adventurous enough to try but y’all can try it when you’re there (lmk how it tastes like too LOLS)!

Anyway, I had their Nian Gao Waffles paired with a single scoop of Chrysanthemum Goji Berries Ice Cream which was superb 😙 their waffles were very crispy and the Nian Gao reminded me of mochi (pic 6)! Paired really well together but it’s quite sweet 🤓 so I would get a complementing or lighter flavour next time hehe 😛

📌 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲: It doesn’t make sense that there’s so many plant shops here with cute and unique plants! Bold of them to assume I have green fingers 😤

There are strangely a number of plant shops here which I absolutely live for because who doesn’t love plants right?! And staring at them somehow gives me inner peace 🥹

I wanted to get this rly pretty cactus I saw but my brain told me no because all the plants that were under my care, di3d 💀 legit feels bad because I probably under/overwatered them…🥲

But if you have green fingers and are looking to buy some cute plants, y’all can check out Chinatown’s streets!!
