Cafe mains in orchard UNDER $10?!?! 🤯👀

Apart from selling matcha that SLAPSSS, this cafe in orchard is serving regular priced mains at 50% OFF on Mondays to Fridays, ALL DAY! If you do the math, most of the mains would be less than $10 🤯

Pretty sure most of you have heard of this popular cafe chain called 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮 and ever since I first had it at paragon, it has been #MyGoTo place for a good cuppa matcha & houjicha 🍵💚

I happened to chance upon their outlet at The Cathay the other day and was quite surprised to see that they served food too— since I happened to always patronise their kiosk outlets only 🤣

🍄 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘆 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲 ($𝟭𝟰.𝟵𝟬) — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/𝟔

Honestly didn’t have much expectations for their food since Matchaya specialises in matcha items like beverages & desserts 🍵😃

And disclaimer, I’m not a big fan of cream based pastas (I usually order aglio olio) because they tend to get a little jelak 🥲

BUUUT their creamy mushroom linguine was actually pretty great! 🤩 The sauce was rly umami and reminded me of the cream of mushroom soups that restaurants serve 🤣 and i loved the fact that they chose linguine as the pasta because it holds the heavy sauce so well without turning soggy 😙👍

The only downside is the garlic chips used to garnish the pasta 😮‍💨 it’s not crispy/crunchy enough so it kinda just sticks to your teeth WHICH I ABSOLUTELY HATED HAHAHA 🥲

But apart from that, this is actually something I’d order again 🫶🫶

Idk about other outlets but the ones I had at paragon and here at The Cathay sLaPssss 🤤

Their matcha milk isn’t too sweet nor is it too bitter which I think is a perfect balance 😙 it does taste a slight teeny weeny bit roasted tho but I liked it HAHAHA

OH ANDDD the barista’s latte art is great!! It’s a swan design for my matcha milk 🤪

In contrary to the Google reviews, I actually really enjoyed my time at Matchaya and loved the pasta & matcha milk I had 😙🫶

The Cathay’s outlet is also quite peaceful on weekday afternoons so if y’all are around the area and wants to grab lunch or dessert, THIS IS THE PLACE 🤪
