Mom guilt is a real thing & you’re not alone🌸👩🏻‍🍼

Didn’t know I would be sharing personal things on here but here we go. It’s been almost 6 months since giving birth to my beautiful baby boy and I’m barely starting to feel like a functioning human again. I left the baby with my husband for the first time and as happy as I was for a night to myself, I felt guilty for enjoying myself while I knew they were struggling because he was teething really bad and I forgot to put the infant Tylenol in the diaper bag. My mom told me to treat motherhood as a job as in I need a day off sometimes. She said “ Everone gets to clock out of work but moms don’t.” She advised me to get out of the house every once in a while and let my husband take over for me when he gets home. I’m privileged to be able to stay home and not work so sometimes I feel ungrateful if I complain cause it’s like well I could be still working and not seeing my baby so then I just think It’s not so bad and power through it🤷🏻‍♀️.

I have people in my life that support me and I need to not be ashamed of leaning on them sometimes.
