Hello! I’m excited to share my favorite thing to make for any cookout or party. This fried chicken recipe is a family favorite, bursting with flavor and always a hit!
Not only is it delicious, but it's also budget-friendly, perfect for feeding a large group, and it satisfies my Chick-Fil-A cravings every time.
Here are the ingredients I use. Feel free to adjust the recipe to suit your preferences or dietary needs!
Ingredients:
- Tony Chachere’s (2 generous tbsp per 2 cups of flour)
- Cavender’s (2 generous tbsp per 2 cups of flour)
- Black Pepper (3 tsp per 2 cups of flour)
- Cayenne (3 tsp optional)
- Plant Butter (½ cup)
- Organic Raw Honey (3-4 tbsp)
- Buttermilk (low-fat optional)
- Unbleached Flour (2 cups serving size, double or triple if needed)
- Canola oil (or any frying oil)
- Organic chicken breast tenders
- Sister Schubert Parker House Style rolls
1. Prepare Two Containers
- In the first container, combine all your spices: Tony Chachere’s, Cavender's, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- In the second container, pour enough buttermilk to thoroughly soak the chicken.
2. Heat the Oil
- Preheat your oil. To ensure the seasoning is right, dip a bit of batter into the heated oil to cook. Taste and adjust the spices as needed.
3. Prepare the Chicken
- Cut the chicken tenders into your preferred nugget size.
- Dip the chicken pieces in the buttermilk, then coat them evenly in the spice mixture.
4. Fry the Chicken
- Place the coated chicken pieces into the hot oil and cook until they are golden brown.
5. Prepare the Rolls
- Bake the rolls according to the package instructions.
- While they bake, heat the butter and honey together, then drench this mixture all over the baked rolls. Let them sit for a few minutes to cool.
6. ENJOY
- Place the chicken nuggets inside the rolls and enjoy!♥️
