Ingredients:
For the Cookie Dough:
* 1 cup salted butter, room temperature
* 1 cup granulated sugar
* 2 large eggs
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 1 tsp almond extract
* 3 cups all-purpose flour
* 2 tsp baking powder
For the Frosting:
* 1 can vanilla frosting
* Pink food coloring
* Optional: 1/2 tsp almond extract
Instructions:
1. Prepare Frosting: Mix vanilla frosting with pink food coloring and optional almond extract. Set aside.
2. Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
3. Make Cookie Dough: Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla and almond extracts. Gradually mix in flour and baking powder until combined.
4. Form and Bake Cookies: Portion dough into 1/4 cup balls, flatten slightly on baking sheets. Bake for 12-14 minutes until set. Cool completely on sheets.
5. Frost Cookies: Once cooled, spread or pipe frosting on cookies.
6. Optional Chilling: For firmer frosting, chill cookies in the fridge for 15 minutes after frosting.
* Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
