Eddy's Kitchen
2nd floor of Hong Lim Market and Food Centre
Nearest MRT: Chinatown
I discovered Eddy's Kitchen while I was looking for food recommendations in Hong Lim. My husband loves duck and we both love laksa, so Eddy's seemed like a good idea. And we were right. ๐คค
One of the most common feedback I read about it was that prices were a bit steep for a hawker centre. I agree, since I think our total bill was more or less $20. But I don't know. We left very happy and satisfied with the meal. ๐คค๐ The duck was very tender, well-seasoned, and I could really taste the rosemary. The duck skin was crispy but the meat was verrrry tender. It came with mashed potatoes and I think a side of coleslaw. (I wish I had asked if rice was available as an add on because rice was all I could think of while we were eating it ๐ฅน )Both sides were okay, but nothing really spectacular. It was really the duck that carried the show. On the other hand, the laksa spaghetti with the chicken chop was enjoyable as well. The chicken was tasty and the pasta was swimming in sauce, and it was just the way I like my pasta to be. ๐คฉ
Overall, I believe that it's a good option if you wanna treat yourself a little. It may come with mall-like prices without the aircon and the ambiance but I think it's worth a try. (Please know that we've only been here for almost 2 months sooo my opinion on what seems to be worth the money may be clouded with the fact that I am somewhere betweet a tourist and a newcomer here... ๐) We would love to explore cheaper food alternatives so please feel free to share ๐ค
