Last August, Tai Er opened its first Singapore branch at Jewel Changi Airport and quickly attracted long queues. Now, they opened a second outlet at JEM in Jurong East! Finally, walk-in is available! We can now try our luck without having to make a reservation ahead of time (maybe a few months).
I was so excited to try their Signature Chinese Suancai & Fish, which is served in different sizes according to the number of pax! The huge bowl was loaded with Sichuan peppercorns, dried chilies, suancai, filleted tilapia and a sprinkle of chrysanthemum petals. I can finally understand why it’s so popular now! The broth was so robust and well-flavored as the spiciness, sourness(mild) and mala flavors come together in harmony. It’s so appetite whetting! I finished the whole bowl of rice before knowing it!
