Barang yang digunakan for this Aquarium set up is:

⭐Tank : 5.0 Liter round tank⭐

I bought this tank from Ikea at the pots and plants section. They're located among the glass vases and come in sets of three but cost around RM50 altogether, which to me was a steal! When i first saw it i knew I could make one vase for aquascaping and the other two for terrariums.

🌱Plants 🌱

all plants used in this tank are aquatic plants and beginner friendly

1) Java fern

- plants in midground of the tankor foreground

- thrives in moderate lighting

- no CO2 needed

- They can offer chemical and biological filtration, fish and shrimp shelter and forage, and even help oxygenate the water.

2) Anubias nana

- plants in foreground of the tank

- slow growing, can grow in all conditions and can thrive in shady places

- grows in fine low light

- CO2 low

3) Ludwigia repens (plant in background)

- grows in fine low light

- This plant helps to maintain the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in water. Its fast growth rate allows it to absorb excess nutrients, helping to prevent algae overgrowth and maintain water clarity.

4) moss

- plants in foreground and is used to touch up the aesthetics of the tank.

- shrimps love them

- contribute to enhancing water quality

⛰️Hardscape ⛰️

In the world of aquascaping, this term refers to all-natural decorative materials, such as aquarium driftwoods and aquascaping stones. in this tank, Im using:

1) Seiryu stone

- used for tank motif and is easy to work with in a planted tank

- very porous, which allows it to absorb water and nutrients well

2) course sand

- I used this purely for decorative reasons, place it at the most front of the tank to give the layout more depth.

- of course this is only optional

3) aquarium soil (for planting)

- any soil is fine, but i recommend using a good aquascaping soil for your tank especially when youre planting aquatic plants.Theyre easily available in most fishstores and buying them in 1kg is usually enough for a small tank.

After the tank is set up, I place a tiny Dolphine H80 hanging filter. A filter will help clear out the water in the first hour after water is filled into the tank. a good filtration system helps to maintain the tank, balances the water and regulates the water flow. Mechanical, biological and chemical filtration is THE NUMBER 1 IMPORTANT THING in any fish tank. make sure to do extensive research on aquarium filtration before starting a tank as your tank's survival rate correlates with its filtration system.

thanks for reading this far💕 I'll probably share a step by step picture on how i set up the tank and steps to maintain it next time. If youre planning on having a planted tank after reading this post, i wish the best for you! i believe your fishes deserve a good home to live in too. So fighting! hope this helps!
