bestest restaurant in florence, italy 🍅

We fell in love with this place 6 years ago, and visited again (with very high expectations) - ZÀZÀ DID NOT FAIL US ♥️ We loved it so much we ate ZZ for dinner on all 3 nights that we were in Florence LOL

On night 1, we flew in from Madrid > Florence and reached the city centre of Florence at about 8pm. We didn't make a reservation so we had to queue for about an hour 😔 (However, the queue was actually quite fast moving, considering the number of people!!)

We made a reservation for night 2: only waited for ~10min.

Reservation was rejected on night 3: waited for ~30min

**You still have to queue if you have a reservation!! But it is much faster ☺️

Food we recommend ✨:

🍝 ALL THE PASTA 😍😍😍

• We loved the truffle cream and walnut cream ravioli, so creamy!! The walnut cream ravioli was unique, and we could literally taste the blended walnuts 😋

• Rigatoni!!! The tomato cream was very nicely balanced

• Gorgonzola gnocchi was a little too salty, but still good

• Prawns/ Clams pasta - BEST SURPRISE!! We weren't expecting much but one of us wanted prawns 😂 So we ordered this and this is really the best aglio I've ever eaten, umami ++++++!! (We think that the prawns-style is better than clams-style, but they're cooked the same way)

• Boccalona style spaghetti - Nothing special, but was nice that it had a little spice 🌶️

Can try 🧐:

• Tagliata (sliced beef) - very buttery sliced beef, we would prefer them sliced thinner

• Florentine steak - they're popular for this! We didn't try because we aren't fans of rare steak 🤣

Food we don't recommend 🤢:

🥖 Bread - We remembered this as the worst bread we tried in our lives HAHA, and it still is!! (it's free). The bread was so hard and bouncy, you can't leave any dent in it even if you squish it a million times 🤣. We didn't waste any stomach space on this at all, and was very impressed by everyone around us eating it

🪷 Artichoke - Not prepared the way we like 🤣, soaked in ?vinegar, can pass

🥩 Fillet - Steak was BLUEUEEUEUE (we ordered a medium since they only had medium or rare), but it came rare + when we asked the waiter he said "this is our medium", 1/10 HAHA

🍰 Dessert here in general - not impressive

Many options! We loved the cava, moscato, mojito (and the cola 😂)

Can I go back to Florence just for ZàZà 🥹
