The Season Begins 🔥🚒

My husband has been a firefighter for the past 8 years. During that time he’s been on two different departments and has gone through the ranks. In November we welcome our son in to the world and then my husband started an 11 week academy in January. It was extremely hard to navigate life with a new baby alone, but we made it through! He graduated on Friday, we enjoyed our quick weekend together and now he’s already left for work today (Monday) as the season began for many firefighters all across the state.

The fire service is hard to describe…

It’s financially providing.. and it’s truly my husband’s passion. But for me, gosh… the years have been lonely. I’ve attended many holidays, weddings, and parties alone. However, this season I am blessed to have my son, it’s definitely made my days more entertaining 🙂

I am nervous… excited… and ____ *insert all emotions here* for this season. It’s ‘the year of firsts’ for our son, and I know it pains my husband to miss any second of it.

So to anyone who kissed their significant other goodbye this morning, cheers to another season. We’ll make it through. 🥂
