AT HOME GEL MANI

I’m the type of person that would rather do it, than pay someone to. This is how I mastered doing my gel manicures at home.

First, it is important to buff your nails with a file and shape them into your desired shape.

Second, you want to apply your base coat. Once finished applying, place under UV lamp for 30-60 seconds.

Third, start applying color! If you are using a thinner, sheer color (like the one I am using) it is important to do your polish layers as even as possible. Once hand is finished place under UV lamp for 60 seconds.

Fourth, apply second layer of color! This layer you have to try to make it most even since no more color is going on top! Once hand is finished place under UV lamp for 60 seconds. (Only try to do 2-3 layers of the color polish because it can get very thick, and will ultimately be hard to take off later)

Fifth, apply top coat! Make sure to coat everywhere that has polish on it. Once finished place under UV lamp for 60 seconds.

Sixth, (not pictured) wipe nails with rubbing alcohol. This step is specific for the top coat I use. Make sure to do research about which you are using! The alcohol makes your nails not sticky.

There you have it! Only 6 steps to having your nails done just like the nail salon.
