non-traditional things we did at our wedding 👀

here are some fun ways to make your wedding even more exciting and unique 👇🏼

as a 2023 bride, our wedding was in June and the day went picture perfect. these are some of the fun non-traditional ceremony and reception ideas that our guests love and STILL talk about!

1. Ring Security: instead of a traditional Ring Bearer, we dressed our boys up as security guards! they had customized name tags, ear pieces, sunglasses, badges, and a top secret suitcase.

2. Fake Flowers: all of our bouquets, centerpieces, and garlands were rented from Something Borrowed Blooms and no one could tell! we had multiple people try and take the flowers home thinking they were real.

3. LED Foam Sticks: instead of a garter toss/bouquet toss, we opted to have our guests enjoy LED foam glow sticks. everyone could be involved and it was a great way to get people dancing!

4. First Look: we got a lot of criticism from family and friends about doing a first look, but we are so happy we did it. having a first look really helped ease our nerves, and we got to be authentically emotional with one-another in private.

5. Dress Change: my ceremony dress had a long train, so after dinner I changed into the Selkie French Puff Dress and it was amazing! I loved having a grand entrance with my new dress.
