THIS DRESS WAS SUCH A FAIL 😭 HERE'S WHY I HATED IT

We can't always win with our shopping hauls, and here I am showing you one that really fell short for me 🥹 I tried to make it work, but objectively I just did not look great (RIP) and I was extremely uncomfortable in this piece 🥺 here's why!

This piece from The Style Soiree (Colette Cross Back Romper Dress in White- LINK HERE ) looks cute and floaty at first glance, but for me, it falls short in several aspects.

One of the main issues with this romper dress is the length 😩 It may be too long for petites (i am 157cm) which can make them appear shorter and wider than they actually are. The dress would have looked better if it was shorter, perhaps ending at mid-thigh or above the knee, to give the illusion of longer legs. It looked AMAZING on the model, but sadly it just made me look short and stumpy.

Another problem with the Colette Cross Back Romper Dress is the zip. Throughout the day, the zip kept unzipping at the top, which was quite embarrassing and uncomfortable. It's a design flaw that can easily ruin the overall look and feel of the outfit, or affect a nice day out! 🫠 I noticed this issue with another bustier dress I have from them!

The non-slip silicone strap is also a letdown. While it's meant to keep the dress in place, it often flips out, exposing itself and making it look... a little odd. It's not very noticeable in photos, but it affected the neckline of the piece and ended up looking really strange. This issue is probably happening as the silicone strap is heavier than the soft satin fabric and tends to flip out more often.

Also!! If you're part of the itty bitty titty community the bust details of the Colette Cross Back Romper Dress may not be flattering you, esp if you have smaller bust and wider ribs. The details can sit oddly on the chest, emphasizing the width of the ribcage and making the overall look unflattering. It's a design that's better suited for those with a more proportionate bust and ribcage- another L if you have scoliosis 🫠

Overall... this dress may not be the best choice for everyone. If you have similar proportions/ height I hope this review helps!! I had high hopes for this piece, but it was sadly a letdown 🥹 off to find another piece to live out my balletcore dreams 😭
