pen c standing experience!

it was my first time going to a kpop concert so i had completely no clue what to expect lol

when we arrived outside our allocated gates, the staff were really helpful in bringing us to our spot. when we realised someone with a higher queue number were infront of us, we told the staff and she was so nice about it, she directed them behind and came back to tell us ”你们要敢敢跟我们讲,要不然会不公平“ which translates to “you guys need to dare to tell us else it’ll be unfair”. also we were dying from thirst so we asked the staff where we could buy water outside and thankfully he told us we’d be going in soon and to just buy from the inside else we’d have lost our spots. really kudos to the staff that day<3

our queue numbers were 17 and 18 so it was pretty low. so we did manage to snagg a barrier area. there was nobody infront of us so we weren’t squeezing that badly. and i’m so grateful the people behind us didn’t push that much. the barrier even gave us arm support from holding up our phones LOL. it was only at the encore when someone screamed in my ear HAHAHA

for the price i paid, the view was actually not that bad. i saw a lot of videos on tiktok showing a view of everyone holding up phones and they couldn’t see anything at all but luckily that wasn’t the case for me. i could barely see them on the stage but the screens were of really high resolution and it was so clear. if you own a better phone, you could prob take a clearer zoomed in of them on the stage. since i couldn’t take a zoomed in video of them, i just took videos at 1.8x to capture the vibes.

one thing that was bothering me was the security that kept walking around infront of us blocking our views😐

it was really really humid inside so i would 100% recommend bringing a portable fan while you’re waiting for the concert to start.

my phone almost died halfway while recording so i pulled out my portable charger to charge while recording HAHAHAHAAH🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ sorry my pcd gets really bad so i need videos to help with that😭

we queued under the hot sun since 1pm for security check and honestly that was the biggest mistake. since the queue wasn’t first come first serve, as long as you reach the queue outside the gates before 4.30, you’ll be placed according to your queue number.

i brought a mini evian bottle and finished it, intending to bring the empty bottle inside to refill but the security asked us to remove the bottle caps so we could only bring in the bottle without a cap which i found unhygienic since we were going to be in the standing pen. so i just threw the bottle away and bought a $2 water from the stall inside🥲

oh and there were food stalls inside the stadium selling food (they even had pizza hut) but we didn’t want to lose our barrier spot and it also looked like it would be hard to come back so we just skipped dinner and just ordered mcd once we reached home🥲

going home: tbh i have pdst from going late at night bc there was one time i missed the last train home and was stranded in the middle of nowhere😭 | fortunately the queue for the mrt that day didn’t take that long and once we got in, it wasn’t as crowded as outside. we took the train heading to the other end (basically the side that less ppl were going to) and took the train back to the right side so we could get seats AHAHAH. and luckily i managed to catch the second last bus home from bishan😭😭😭 thankgod. an alternative way we wanted to go by was to transfer to the blue line from promenade but since there was many people heading that way too we decided to just take the circle line to bishan. one thing i gotta say is please rush for the mrt queue once the concert ends if u don’t live near an mrt station bc the last buses are always so early😩 i think my last bus at bishan was at 11.30. also i’d recommend to not try to book grab/gojek/tada or wtv from the stadium, it’s like a 5% chance that you’ll get a ride honestly. there has been times where i tried booking grab/gojek/tada and none of them even accepted my call and it wasn’t even a concert dayㅠㅠㅠ

📌would i get standing pen again? i most likely would but also depending on the price differences lol
