For context: when we first purchased our 4 room HDB flat, we wanted both kids to have their own rooms, but since they were still young (1 & 5 years old), we figured that it's probably better to have them sleep together for the first few years till they are a little older.

Right now, their beds and wardrobe are in the shared bedroom, while the other common room is kept as a play/study room with their toys and study table there. But this arrangement makes it counter efficient when one is trying to study and the other one is playing. 😂

The older one has expressed interest in wanting to have his own room so he can study and do his homework in peace, but my younger son still wants to sleep together with his brother. In fact, most of the time, my younger one would go over to his brother's bed to sleep with him, or push his bed towards his brother's bed to form one big bed. That one-sided brotherly love. 😅

Anyway, as much as I enjoy seeing them sleep together in the same room, I guess I have to make the decision to split them up soon. Now that my older son is on upper primary and needs to take his studies more seriously, having a proper environment for him is important too.

As for the younger one, he'll probably whine about not wanting to sleep alone and how he gets lonely and scared at night. Hahahaha.

Zesties, what's your sleeping arrangements for your kids? And what do you think about sharing rooms with your siblings? Yay or nay?
