🇯🇵5 Things To Do At Lake Kawaguchiko!

Hi lovelies!💖 In my recent Japan trip, i stayed for 2 nights at Mount Fuji and it was the best decision ever! Such a zen experience and a good break from the bustling city area.

Here are 5 things i did at Lake Kawaguchiko:

1/ Visit Oishi Park

This is a must!! Oishi park was so lovely and you get great views of the lake and mt fuji on a clear day! There are some cafes, restaurants, small shops etc in the area too. You can spend a few hours here! At a corner of Oishi park, there is a phone stand provided and you can just put your phone there, on the self timer and the angle is literally perfect! (See pic 2 hehe)

2/ Enjoy Lavender Ice Cream

This is at Oishi park too but special mention cos it was delicious🥹 They have lots of other flavours too like grape etc but lavender sounded the most unique! The same shop sells lots of food souvenirs✌️

3/ Go Cafe Hopping

There are actually quite a number of cafes in lake kawaguchiko! The one in my picture is Brand New Day cafe at Oishi Park! It’s known to have a good view of Mt Fuji! But i would say the drinks were okay only haha. I preferred another cafe called troisieme marche!

4/ Get the iconic Lawsons photo

Near the train station about a 5 minutes walk away, there is a Lawsons convenience store that is a popular photo spot because you can get a direct view of Mt Fuji! You’ll know it’s the correct one cos there’ll be tons of tourists there taking turns to get their shot haha. Be sure to buy the fried chicken cutlet and oden from Lawsons after getting your photo✌️

5/ Watch Mt Fuji’s Sunrise

Hands down best experience in mt fuji!! Waking up at 6:30 for this view was so so worth! It’s core memory worthy for sure when you take in the sight of the pink/orange sky, mt fuji in the background, the fresh cold air and even birds chirping!!🥹
