My fav moment in Korea - staying in a hanok!🥹💖

One of my absolute favourite memories of my seoul trip this year was staying in a hanok near to gyeongbokgung palace!🥹 I highly recommend it to anyone who asks me what’s a “must do” thing in seoul!

What are hanoks?

They are traditional houses the locals used to stay in! Though the current ones in seoul are more modernized, there are still key elements of the traditional house present, such as it being made with wood! It was such a magical feeling staying there, it felt super cosy and it’s a refreshing change from staying in our brick buildings. The one i stayed in had a private garden too and the air was so fresh and crisp in the morning! Truly a healing experience.

How to find hanoks in seoul?

I used airbnb and zoomed in to the gyeongbokgung area! There are quite alot of hanoks available to choose from! Alternatively, you can try using booking.com or agoda etc but it’s abit harder to find so I recommend the former method!
