JB/ Craving for some korean cakes and snack?🍰

If you can’t travel to korea, some alternatives nearby would also be nice! Yeon cafe is a korean specialty cafe that is found in Johor Bahru! They have an extensive menu with savoury food like tteokbokki, ramen, rice bowls etc, as well as sweets and pastries too!

We went for afternoon tea and here’s what we ordered:

✨Matcha sponge cake

The matcha taste was on the lighter side and avid matcha fans may find that there’s not much kick to this. But i did like it overall, it was not too sweet and there wasn’t the bitter after taste of matcha.

✨Taro cake

Made with freshly ground taro, the taro taste was light and not too sweet! Paired with sponge cake and cream, it was soft and the whole slice can be devoured quickly!

✨Berries Cheesecake

I’m personally not a big fan of cheesecake as they can be too thick and cloying for me but this was on the lighter side! It was yummy and even without sharing you can likely finish a slice by yourself!

For drinks, we got kombucha and an iced tea! Both were really nice and refreshing!

We enjoyed the food and ambience as well as pretty decor here! We’ll be back again to try the savoury food next time☺️
