Outdoor Cafe in Botanic Gardens 🍃

Situated in a corner next to Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden in Botanic Gardens sits “Little Spot”. A 100% outdoor-only seating cafe, the cafe has a menu split into two sections - one page for adults and one for kids!

What I love about this place is the rather expansive selection of all-day brunch and as a pancake lover myself it was nice to see a few options on the menu. The kids menu does look pretty appealing too, especially if you aren’t too hungry. All kids meal choices come with a choice of milo or apple juice!

What we got:

- Full Works: I guess this can’t really go wrong but the portion is worth mentioning because it is rather substantial. Garlic mushrooms were cooked just right and the scrambled eggs were nice and soft, just how we liked it

- Sweet ’n’ Savoury Pancakes: This is a good option if you want the best of both worlds. The maple syrup given on the side provided a nice balance of sweetness with the savoury eggs, sausages and bacon

- Summer Berries & Banana Pancakes: If you love berries and all things sweet, this one is for you. It doesn’t come with maple syrup though, but the fruits and ice cream make up for the sweetness!

- Drinks: We ordered different drinks, a coffee, yoghurt smoothie and a lemonade. All were your average drinks you would get in a cafe but they matched our food really well.

Overall I really love the space - you will see tons of kids around because of the location and it is nice to sit in the outdoors breathing in the fresh air and getting some of that Vitamin D in. Don’t worry, you aren’t under direct sunlight!
