Balestier Cafe with Delicious Croissants 🫢

If you live near Balestier you must have heard of Madu The Bakery. My friend recommended it to me because he said the croissants are super delicious so I decided to head on down to try them for myself and boy did it not disappoint.

The space itself is pretty quaint, with a bar seating but seating wise it is mostly in pairs so it might be hard if you are going in a big group! The menu has just the right number of products, not too many and not too little and there is a variety of pastries to choose from in the glass casing as well (from shio pan to all kinds of buns).

I decided to order the Cereal Prawn Croissant because that was what my friend recommended and I had the Azuki Butter Bun and two drinks, an Iced Oat Latte and Hojicha Chocolate latte as well.

My review:

- the croissant was really a 10/10. Cereal prawns are my guilty pleasure and I never knew it could pair so well with croissants! This is definitely a must-try and the portion of juicy prawns was pretty generous

- The azuki butter bun was not bad, if you love thick chunks of butter you would love this!

- Drinks wise I felt like they were nothing extraordinary but of course it was still satisfying to drink

I would love to try some of their other bakes next time I visit but if you guys have been there do you have any recommendations?
