📍Location: Shirakawa-go is located in the Ogi-machi in the Ono District in Gifu Prefecture, at the foot of the Hida Mountains in northwestern Gifu. It is a secluded mountain village surrounded by mountains, with crisscrossed paddy fields and flowing rivers.

• Unique Architecture: The Gassho-zukuri houses are the highlight. The thatched roofs are steep, resembling two hands pressed together, which is not only beautiful but also practical for shedding snow in winter.

• Cultural Heritage: There are 25 relocated and preserved Gassho-zukuri houses in the open-air museum. The village also has a traditional rural atmosphere with buildings like temples, waterwheel huts, charcoal huts, and stables.
