Voting is an awesome date!

#date #lemon8challenge Voting is an awesome date! My guy and I make a habit of doing it big to go and vote. This year we wore matching “Black voters matter” t-shirts and went to a new brunch spot before we turned in our absentee ballots. Because of course you can’t wear voting clothing or anything when at the ballot box.

We vote absentee. This ensures we get our ballots in without the stress or strain of standing in line, which my chronically ill body can’t tolerate. I’m so blessed to have a guy that cares about my human rights as a woman, and the intersectionality that I face on a day to day. I’m grateful that he supports me and continues to be educated.

Try voting as a date. It’s a creative way to bond, converse, and grow stronger, together. Exercising your rights is everything.
