4D3N Bintan Trip 😍

a short getaway that’s not Malaysia? this was my first ever trip to Bintan and the experience was so eye opening and of course, ENJOYABLE! 🥰 my partner and I went on this trip just to get a nice, short, relaxing getaway from our busy, hectic lives.🩵

Our itinerary consist of mostly sleeping and also many many activities as you can see from the pictures. 🌤️ i won’t be sharing EVERYTHING we did as it will be a very long post 😪 take your time to read as well!! let’s dive into the itinerary and hopefully it helps for your next trip to Bintan! 🤪

☁️ Day 1 ☁️

didn’t do much for day 1 except to check in and eat 😅

✨ ferry to Bintan ($90/pax)

we took the latest ferry time at 2pm (Singapore local time) and arrived in Bintan at 2pm (Indonesia local time) 🫢 advisable to reach the ferry terminal 45mins to an hour earlier to do all your check ins, our ferry left 10mins earlier because everyone was already on board. 😁

✨ check in to accommodation - Kamuela

chose this resort because i saw a lot of good reviews on Lemon8 and Google Reviews ⭐️ will share more about our stay later in the post!

✨ dinner - Kelong Cuiyong Seafood Restaurant

i wouldn’t recommend going at night like we did because there were SO MANY FLIES.💀 i hate insects! we sat there until i couldn’t take it and decided to take away to eat at the hotel instead 😭 other than that, food was actually really good because it tasted like home. 😋 price was not too bad as well around $20/pax.

☁️ Day 2 ☁️

✨ activity 1 - Safari Lagoi

there were many activities like feeding the animals ($20/package) or even renting a bungee ($40/bungee). 💸 we walked ard for about 2-3hours. sunscreen is a MUST! 🧴 it was so warm i got slightly sunburned 🥲

✨ lunch - Warung Yeah!

heard a lot of good reviews for this place so we decided to go try!! 😎 it was SOOOO GOODDD!! ❤️ flavourful and so affordable ($12/pax) 🥹 highly recommend their mee goreng! ⭐️

✨ activity 2 - Sand Dunes & Blue Lake Bintan 🏝️

riding atv in the rain? 🌧️ best feeling ever! 😅 yes, we did get quite drenched but so worth it! 🥰 our driver actually recommended this place to ride atv instead of the famous Treasure Bay because it was cheaper ($30/pax) 🫢

✨ dinner - Asun Family Foodcourt

didn’t take photos here because like the first day dinner, we opted for takeaway 🥡 similarly to day 1 dinner, food tasted exactly like sg ($20/pax)

☁️ Day 3 ☁️

✨ activity 1 - Treasure Bay Bintan (entry fee $13/pax)

there are so many water activities to do here. 👏🏻 we did the Unlimited Slip and Slide ($18/pax) and my partner did the wakeboarding ($20/pax). 🛝

✨ lunch - Lakeside Restaurant ($50/pax)

this hotpot was at Treasure Bay itself because we did not want to travel around. honestly, kinda got scammed here. 😭 told the person that we didn’t want the set meal but she decided to put it in anyways. when the food arrived, we asked her about it she said she ‘accidentally’ keyed into the system and now could do anything about it.. 💀 only after going thru back and forth she then gave a 10% discount.. still our bill should have just been $30/pax 💸

do be careful when you visit them and check with them! 🥲 overall the hotpot here was not very good because the broth tasted a bit weird to us.. and way too overpriced.. 😪

✨ activity 2 - Tanjung Pinang

don’t go! it’s almost a 2 hours ride into the city area to go to a shopping mall but there’s NOTHING to shop.. 💀 unless you wanna watch a movie or have fun at the arcade it’s definitely not worth your time.. 😪 but if you do go there, their basement is the most lively floor 😅 we just had a crepe for dinner and that’s all ($1.5/crepe)

☁️ Day 4 ☁️

✨ lunch - Pizza at Trikora Beach (>$10/pizza)

no i don’t know the name of this pizza place but it’s located at the beach area.. pizza is the thin crust kind and it’s not have flavourful but for its price point, don’t expect too much 🙂

✨ only 1 activity - snorkeling at Trikora Beach ($50/pax)

this was our only activity because we had to catch our ferry at 5pm. we took a speed boat to a stick hut kinda thing? 🛖 it was my first time snorkeling and although it’s not my favourite activity, it was worth a try. 😜 it’s quite cheap for snorkeling and best part is you can snorkel for an unlimited time 🥳

✨ home time

we reached Bintan ferry terminal 1 hour before boarding and same thing as our ferry to Bintan, our ferry left about 15mins earlier. 👏🏻

🏡 Accommodation: Kamuela ($250/night for 2pax)

such a cozy resort to stay in. everyone was so nice and friendly. 🫶🏻 as you can see in the second picture, the place was so pretty and you even have your own private pool!! 🥳

‼️ yes bugs can get into the room ‼️so if you HATE them.. close all the doors and don’t leave them open. 😎

fun fact: there was a wasp that came into our bathroom and started building a nest.. 💀💀💀 we decided to inform them and they got rid of it instantly! 🤩

Kamuela has lots of drivers as well!! 🚗 there’s actually complimentary service to and fro from the ferry terminal! 🥳 Do arrange with them on whatsapp!

☹️ the only downside was their breakfast. honestly it’s bad!! 🥺 everything was always cold and tasted funny 😫 we only liked the pancakes. even the cereal, the milk was not cold it was warm.. 😩 whatever it is.. don’t add on breakfast! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!

🚕 Transport $266 for 4 days

Bintan does not have any form of public transport so you need to check if your resort provides any transport service.

we didn’t pre-plan our transport 🤓 so we were lucky that our resorts has transport service. they can take you ANYWHERE!! 🥳 and we were lucky enough to get the same driver from Day 2 to Day 4. so he was our tour guide as well 🤪 he recommended places to go, places that were cheaper, etc..

my first experience to Bintan was really so much fun!! 🤩 i got experience so many things that i cannot try in Singapore.. 😍 i hope this post helps with your next Bintan trip too! 🥳
