Peppermint Mocha Shaken Espresso

If you love chocolate and peppermint then this drink is for you. Chocolate and peppermint always reminds me of the winter and the holidays. I remember eating those chocolate peppermint candy canes when I was younger! That’s what this flavor combination makes me think of!

All you need to create this drink is a chocolate sauce, peppermint extract, espresso, milk, and ice. A great addition to this drink is just a touch of vanilla syrup. This is optional but very delicious and perfect to add if you like sweeter drinks.

Ingredients

2 shots espresso

1-2 tbsp chocolate sauce

4-6 oz oat milk

1/4 tsp peppermint extract

Ice

Optionally, 1 tsp of vanilla syrup

1. Combine ice, 2 shots espresso, 1-2 tbsp of chocolate syrup, 1/4 tsp of peppermint extract, and 1 tsp of vanilla syrup (if using) in a mason jar.

2. Cover and shake really well.

3. Pour the contents into another glass and add additional ice if desired.

4. Top with 4-6 oz of oat milk or milk of choice.

5. Optionally garnish with chocolate syrup drizzled on top and chopped candy cane.
