Caramel Pumpkin Pie Shaken Espresso

So I’ve made a few recipes combining pumpkin pie syrup and caramel syrup. All inspired by the browned butter latte at Whole Foods. I just love this flavor combo!

Well I got to thinking… caramel syrup is a pretty simple syrup to find at the store but maybe not pumpkin pie. So I wanted to create something that people could make without having to buy 2 syrups to get the brown butter latte flavor. I used a mixture of pumpkin purée, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice to create the pumpkin pie syrup flavor in this drink. It was pretty delicious if I do say so myself 🧡

Also changing it up instead of making a latte to make my favorite drink ever… shaken espresso ☕️🥰

Ingredients

2 shots espresso

1 tbsp pumpkin purée

1 tsp maple syrup

1 tsp caramel syrup

1/8 tsp pumpkin pie spice

4-5 oz of cold frothed milk of choice, I used whole milk

2-3 scoops ice

Directions

1. Combine in a mason jar 2 shots espresso, 1 tbsp pumpkin purée, 1 tsp maple syrup, 1 tsp caramel syrup, 1/8 tsp pumpkin pie spice, and a few scoops of ice.

2. Put lid on mason jar and shake really well. You should start to see the mixture get frothy.

3. In a seperate glass using a handheld frother, froth 4-5 oz of milk.

4. Pour frothed milk on top of shaken espresso and sprinkle additional pumpkin spice or cinnamon on top.
