Apple Pie Syrup

Apple pie and coffee? Who knew but it’s literally so delicious. All of your apple pie ingredients combined in a latte 🍎☕️❤️🥰

All you need is an apple, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, apple juice, water, and butter extract. All simple ingredients you probably already have on hand! Except for the butter extract maybe. I ordered the butter extract online on Amazon to make sugar cookie syrup a few years ago so I already had it on hand. It lasts forever because you don’t need to add much of it to a recipe.

Ingredients

1 apple sliced

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup no added sugar apple juice

1/2 cup water

2 cinnamon sticks

1/8-1/4 tsp butter extract

1. Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan except butter extract.

2. Simmer all ingredients on medium heat for about 10 mins stirring frequently.

3. Strain syrup through a fine mesh strainer.

4. Stir in 1/8 tsp of butter extract. Then taste and add an additional 1/8 tsp depending on your preference. Butter extract is very strong so I recommend adding in 2 parts.

5. Store in a syrup bottle or closed container in the fridge. Should last at least 2 weeks.
