The Kardashians are known to love dining at Nobu, and after my visit, it's easy to see why. Here are the highlights of my experience: 🍱

Signature Yellowtail Jalapeno (S$39) 🍣

Our dining experience began with the Classic section of the Cold Dishes. Nobu’s Signature Yellowtail Jalapeno was a visual treat—six thin slices of pale fish, each adorned with a bright green slice of jalapeno, contrasted against a shallow orange bed of yuzu and soy sauce. The dish offered a range of flavours in each bite; the jalapeno was blissfully mild, but the saltiness of the fish slightly overpowered the other elements.

Black Cod Miso (S$68) 🐟

Next, we moved on to the Classic section of the Hot Dishes, starting with another Nobu Signature, the Black Cod Miso. Accompanied by pickled Japanese ginger stem and pickled apricot, the roasted Alaskan black cod was coated in a sweet miso sauce.

The cod was served at the ideal temperature and cooked to perfection, its softness yielding easily to the tines of my fork. This dish was the highlight of my Nobu experience.

Beef Toban Yaki (120g) (S$56) 🥩

My steak of Beef Toban Yaki was served medium rare, a departure from my usual preference of medium well. Nobu convinced me to experience it their way, and I was not disappointed. The meat was as tender as I imagine clouds to be, and the sauce—a blend of sake, soy, and yuzu—was divine. The sprig of asparagus on the side tasted incredibly fresh, as if it came straight from their garden.

Sashimi: Chu Toro (S$28) and Golden Eye Snapper (S$18) 🍣

We had the Chu Toro and Golden Eye Snapper, both of which were fresh and flavourful!

Final thoughts 💭

Whether you come for the food, or the ambience, or are drawn by its Hollywood ties (Robert De Niro is a part-owner), Nobu is the place to be! The service and the quality of the dishes really make it a memorable dining experience!
