Easy Ways to Style a Maxi Skirt

As skirts continue to grow in popularity and trend relevancy this year, we’ve seen longer lengths really dominate the landscape. After years and years of midi length skirts and dresses being the standard, these longer maxi lengths feel so fresh and modern. I have fully embraced this trend and have slowly filled my closet with various styles of maxi skirt. Here is how I have styled them lately!

Outfit one: denim skirt and blazer. While a denim maxi skirt is inherently more casual, the blazer adds a nice polished feel. To add some variety in textures, I wore my leather Commando bodysuit underneath.

Outfit two: trouser skirt and crew sweater. A refined trouser skirt is made more casual with a cozy cashmere crew sweater. The relaxed fit of the sweater balances out the slimmer silhouette of the skirt.

Outfit three: slip skirt and leather blazer. I love the contrast of fabrics between feminine silk and edgy leather. To avoid excess bulk, wear a sleek bodysuit underneath.
