I feel as though a hot topic in the fitness industry is deciding whether cardio or lifting is better. And I personally feel as though they both compliment each other nicely, however it can come down to personal preference and where you see results.

I run every day and incorporate a few days of lifting each week. I have chosen to prioritize cardio for a few reasons. I like being able to just put in my headphones and vibe while on base runs, but I also love the feeling of pushing myself on tough runs. I also love cardio because it helps keep me in a caloric deficit, and that I can essentially do it wherever.

Although my personal preference is cardio, I have also recently found a love for lifting. Lifting has helped me get stronger and more toned, which is a miracle bc I’m naturally pretty weak lol. Although I don’t see as many results on the scale if I focus on lifting, I have noticed a change in physique which is why I will continue using it to compliment my running.
