i know it could get overwhelming if you’re starting, but i recommend getting the studio app on your phone

notes :)

☀️the bottom of your phone has 5 sections: dashboard, content, analytics, comments, and earn.

☀️home page/channel dashboard: it displays your channel analytics from the past 28 days, and latest content and comments.

☀️content page: it can display your videos, shorts, playlists, and lives.

☀️☀️if you click the three dots and then edit, it takes you to a quick edit of your video. it allows you to edit thumbnails, descriptions, visibility, monetization, playlists, etc.

on your analytics page you have five sections at the top inspiration, overview, content, audience, and revenue

☀️inspiration: it is good when you are trying to see what your viewers also watch to engage with them. you can save topics, watch videos, etc

☀️overview: it provides information about the last 28 days and here is where you will find youtube weekly and monthly recaps. sometimes they give tips too!

☀️ content: it is where you can get detailed info on videos. where a viewer finds them, how long they stay/average view duration, top videos, impressions, click through rate. you can specify the time of the analytics from hours, days, weeks, months, years, and lifetime. this section is very helpful.

☀️audience: you can see who is new and who is returning. you can see the hours they are most active, you can see where they come from, their ages, their genders, if they're subscribed, if they use subtitles, and what they watch. this is helpful when planning content

☀️ on revenue, you can see how much you’ve made in the past day, days, weeks, months, years, lifetime. you can see which video is bringing the most, how you make it, what ads help, and what you make per 1k views (which fluctuates all the time)

☀️comments: pretty self explanatory- you can manage and engage with your audience.

☀️earn: where you can see how much you have made towards you next payment
