Get to know me!🌼🪩

Hey y’all!

I’m brand new to #Lemon8 so I figured I’d give y’all some tidbits to get to know me!

• Firstly hello! My name is Emily, I’m 21 years old, and I’m just girl just trying to figure this whole adult life thing out.

• I’m married to my amazing husband Jonathan. We’ve been married for going on two and a half amazing years. Things aren’t always easy but with the help of God and us never giving up on each other we continue to grow in love every single day. I truly wouldn’t want to do life with anyone else. He’s extremely smart and funny and super stubborn lol. I love eating his yummy cooking, watching TikTok and movies with him, exploring the world like going to the beach and traveling to new places, and playing video games with him. He’s definitely my soulmate cause I don’t think anyone could love me like he loves me and boy do I love the way he loves me!

• I’m a dance teacher! I’ve been in dance since I was 2 years old, competed dance since I believe 7-8 years old, started as an assistant teacher at 16, and began teaching my own classes at 18. I’ve studied and taught ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, tumbling, hiphop, clogging, line dance, and many more that I’ve studied and not taught. Dance has always been an outlet for me and helps me express emotions when I can’t even express them verbally. It is definitely my passion and it’s awesome being able to share my love for dance with my students.

• I love Jesus! I’m a Christian and have set my goals and life on things above. The Lord really saved my life! I was a very trouble child and teenager and coming into adulthood has been very hard for me but through God I have been able to find peace, comfort, and happiness. I truly believe every good thing that has come into my life is from Him and that every struggle God has let me experience has helped me become a better person and has allowed me to help others.

• I have a beautiful dog named Kola! She is a lap/pit mix and I for real don’t know what I’d do without her hyper self in my life. She makes me so happy and is an amazing companion. She’s one and a half years old and full of energy and snuggles. She loves running around outside, playing tug-of-war, cuddling, belly rubs, rough housing with mom and dad, and her toy elephant!

• I love to fish! My mom has taken me fishing since I was very little and I still continue to love it and find joy in relaxing by a lake, on a pier, or in some type of boat catching some fish. I could do it forever! One time me and my little brother took a row boat onto the lake and fished all day while listening to music. We didn’t even realize how much time had gone by so by the time we got back we were so sunburnt but it was one of the best days ever!

• My mom is my best friend! We haven’t always been so close, as I mentioned before I was a troubled child so I was very rebellious and I gave her a very hard time and took for granted the amazing mom God had given me. Luckily as I’ve grown older and matured she has become my best friend. I truly can’t imagine having a better mom. She’s seen me at my worst and has always loved me unconditionally. I’m very thankful that our relationship has gotten to the place that it has. She’s such a wise and hilarious woman. Anyone who has the pleasure to know her will always leave her presence smiling.

• I love to take pictures and model! I don’t always have the best confidence or opportunities to take photos or do modeling photo shoots but when I do have the chance and confidence I love it. I’m hoping by joining Lemon8 I will gain more confidence to capture more photos and memories and apply for more modeling opportunities. I’m still learning to love myself and my insecurities just as every other woman is.

• So if you’ve stuck it out this long I hope you join me in my journey to loving myself and loving life! I’ll be posting a little bit of everything cause honestly I have no idea what I’m doing but nonetheless I’m doing!
